I think manners are a funny thing because they are, for the most part, a matter of opinion and personal preference. I like to think that I don't look for much when it comes to manners; I'm happy with 'please', 'thank you', 'you're welcome'; holding doors for people; not inviting yourself into something; being respectful of other peoples' opinions; etc. Which brings me to my main point and vent. My roommate's boyfriend was just telling a story of how his friend's parents were trying to correct his manners and how he thought they were wrong to do so. In his story he had been on a cruise with his friend's parents (why only them, I don't know)

Today the quidditch club sold bubblewrap as a fundraiser. As the VP it was my civic duty to be wrapped up in bubblewrap and walk around as advertisement. I'm still decked out in the stuff and I'm at class. On the up side I got a nice round of applause as I walked in. But I thought you guys would appreciate this. I'll elaborate more later when I have better control of my limbs and I'm not in class anymore.
